"This cause came on for trial by jury at Woodstock, on Friday the 28th day of November, 1835, before Judges Collamer, Porter and Briggs. The plaintiff demanded ten thousand dollars damages, for a libel on her character, published in the Bellows Falls Intelligencer, on the 17th and 24th days of May 1834 ..."
The newspaper referred to in the title changed its name, with the issue of Feb. 28, 1831, from Bellows Falls intelligencer to Vermont intelligencer.
